Open support group for adults bereaved by suicide.

The death of a loved one by suicide presents special problems in grieving. There is often more shock, a greater sense of injustice, more guilt and blame, and a heightened sense of helplessness. These all tend to complicate the healing process for survivors.

The open group provides a safe place for the bereaved to share their loss with others who are experiencing similar thoughts and feelings.

An open support group will commence at 8.00pm on Thursday, October 6th.2011 in Villa Maria, Talbot’s Inch, Freshford Road, Kilkenny. The meetings will last about 2 hours and will take place on the first Thursday of every month. They will be facilitated by 2 experienced facilitators. The meetings will be open to adults bereaved by suicide.
